Shahed’s primary threat stems from affordability, swarm deployment capabilities, and ability to overwhelm air defenses, making them a tool for asymmetric warfare. Russia has localized production in facilities like Alabuga, ramping up output to thousands per month, incorporating modifications for enhanced precision and resistance to electronic warfare. This evolution has turned them into a strategic asset, used not just for static targets but increasingly for dynamic ones near front lines.
